my aunt is awesome. i’m very proud of her for defending the gay community. i really wish people would stop using the bible as a moral compass and using it to help rationalize their hatred toward people that they don’t understand.

in reference to gay people a person posted “no matter what anyone ever calls them, they consider it [calling them gay] an insult, maybe because deep down in their spirit, they sense that they are not just sinning, but blantantly trying to force people to say that it is not a sin, when it says right in the Bible, that it is. sin is sin, no matter what the offense is, but you dont see people haveing a murderer’s parade, or an adultry parade, or a liars parade…etc…parade”.

i just don’t understand how people can be so judgmental. so now being gay is as bad as murdering someone or having an affair. this is ridiculous.

but BAM my aunt posted “Personally, i think your judgement is a sin”. at least someone realizes that the worst thing you can do is harshly judge someone. she also posted “I think if people had more acceptance and love of others who are different than themselves, rather than using their energy to point out why they think others are wrong, the world, our schools, our communities, would be more peaceful places”. thank god someone is open minded and puts love BEFORE hatred.

to think that some people actually think that being gay is bad. and to compare it to murder. being gay, being straight, bi, whatever, it’s people in love. murder is harmful and hateful. i can’t believe someone could put those two things on the same level.
